Interprofessional Medical Modules
Project Overview
I was responsible for developing an interprofessional practice curriculum and designing an array of interactive elements intended for integration into the training program, which was tailored to students in the health and behavioral science field.
Technology and Tools:
In the process, I harnessed the power of various tools to bring these ideas to life. I used H5P, Adobe Premiere, and Adobe Illustrator to craft innovative learning objects, including branching scenarios and interactive hotspots.
Results and Impact:
Today, the interprofessional collaborative practice curriculum serves as a cornerstone, enriching the educational experiences of over 1000 health and behavioral science students and clinical educators every semester.

Cultural Safety in Healthcare
Project Overview
In 2022, I collaborated with a committee composed of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander faculty, staff, and students. Our collective efforts were channeled into crafting a series of modules centered around the delivery of culturally safe care within 13 allied health disciplines.
Technology and Tools:
Throughout this endeavor, I employed H5P, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator. These tools allowed me to construct graphics, hotspot images, and interactive quizzes that significantly enriched the learning experience.
Moreover, I meticulously structured the e-learning Modules within the EdX Learning Management System and designed relevant assessments and marking criteria. The entire process was streamlined through online collaboration using Microsoft SharePoint.
Results and Impact:
The Cultural Safety in Practice modules have become an integral component of multiple academic programs, positively impacting the education of over 1000 health and behavioral science students and clinical educators each semester. Notably, they have also set a precedent for other universities, inspiring the implementation of cultural safety training within the realms of medical and allied health sciences across Australia.

Nursing, Midwifery, and Social Work Interactive books
Project Overview
In my role as the lead learning designer within the School of Nursing, Midwifery, and Social Work at the University of Queensland, I was consistently entrusted with the vital task of modernizing existing course content through digital uplifts. This involved conducting extensive research, synthesizing complex medical material, and translating it into highly effective learning solutions tailored for both undergraduate and graduate students.
Technology and Tools:
During this transformative process, I harnessed the capabilities of H5P, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator to craft visually engaging graphics, hotspot images, and interactive quizzes, enhancing the overall learning experience.
Additionally, I meticulously designed interactive books using H5P and seamlessly embedded them into the Blackboard Learning Management System, ensuring accessibility and ease of use.
Results and Impact:
By 2023, I had successfully digitized and enriched course content for more than 50 courses within the school. This concerted effort frequently led to notable improvements in student evaluation scores. For instance, in one Nursing course, the average evaluation score rose from 3.42/5 in 2019/2020 to an impressive 4.3/5 in 2020/2021.
The transformative impact extended beyond numerical statistics. The course coordinator shared invaluable feedback, attesting to my role as a catalyst for progress: “You have taught me how to curate content for the online learning modules, create authentic assessments, incorporate more interactive eLearning tools into my teaching, and encouraged me to seek out communities of practice. Your input was undoubtedly a turning point for NURS2102, inspiring me to continually engage with student feedback and make ongoing enhancements to these courses.”
