I designed several eLearning modules for students within the School of Health and Rehabilitation at The University of Queensland. These modules comprehensively addresses the trajectory of typical child development, spanning from birth to the age of 18, and were structured around a framework that highlights key milestones related to functionality, capability, and well-being.

Project Overview
Over the course of one year, from June 2022 to May 2023, I played a pivotal role in guiding the learning design of a groundbreaking interprofessional child development module aimed at students enrolled in four allied health academic programs.
Scope and Deliverables
In this interdisciplinary venture, the project’s initial phase was centered around engaging with stakeholders and facilitating discussions to define course outcomes and learning objectives. Subsequently, I delved into research, meticulously designed module topics and formative assessments, and collaborated closely with multiple faculty members to craft detailed storyboards, video scripts, and the module’s content. The final deliverables encompassed an EdX course module, an extensive library of over 20 instructional videos, and a comprehensive set of formative and summative assessment tasks.
Collaboration and Stakeholders
Throughout this multifaceted project, I navigated the varied expectations of university faculty and clinical educators, each bringing their unique perspectives and content expertise to the table. Guided by my facilitation, we achieved consensus on what elements were fundamental for the module’s success. My collaboration extended to graphic design and media teams, resulting in the creation of tailored branding and informative videos highlighting key module components.
Technology and Tools
Recognizing early on the necessity of efficient online collaboration, I established a streamlined workflow on Microsoft OneDrive. This framework enabled us to construct project management spreadsheets, craft storyboards, and create module content. To ensure a seamless transition for the team, I provided guidance and mentorship. In addition, I leveraged Adobe Illustrator to craft custom graphics and employed H5P to design interactive formative activities. The final product was assembled within the EdX Learning Management System.
Results and Impact
In 2023, the module made its debut within a series of courses in the School of Rehabilitation and Health Sciences at UQ. Student feedback proved overwhelmingly positive, with particular praise directed at the quality of resources and videos. These assets provided students with a comprehensive understanding of the diverse roles within interprofessional teams dedicated to children’s care, enhancing the learning experience.
